Applying the Law of Least Effort

Applying the Law of Least Effort

Sometimes we miss what God has for us by trying to figure out what God has for us.

Instead of letting God be God, we try to manipulate and control. Watch and listen and interpret, when all you really need to do is work. Your only job is to operate in your gift but it’s hard not to get caught up in circumstances and things happening in the natural realm. Meanwhile God has everything worked out in the spiritual realm.

What would life be like if we just chilled out? What would it be if we didn’t let every thought or doubt or conflict or distraction consume us and make us lose focus? What if we actually realized everything doesn’t deserve our attention? What if we relaxed and accepted where we are right now?

“The fourth spiritual law of success is the Law of Least Effort… If you observe nature at work, you will see that least effort is expended. Grass doesn’t try to grow, it just grows. Fish don’t try to swim, they just swim. Flowers don’t try to bloom, they bloom.” – Deepak Chopra

Remember God has done enough already right? What would it look like to stop reaching and struggling and pulling for something that’s it’s not time for yet? You don’t have to fight for what’s yours. If it’s hard, then it’s probably not for you.

God is offering us something that we miss because we’re looking for something else. What if your eyes have been on the wrong prize? Are you willing to start over? Which begs the question: do you want what God wants for your life or what you want? Are you willing to sacrifice your wants for God’s plan? Once you answer those questions you find out what’s really important to you and what your true priorities are. God knows. Do you?

Maybe some things aren’t working out because we’ve moved too far away from who God has called us to be, too far away from doing what He’s called us to do.

Like what if I’m supposed to be writing a screen play or launching a marketing communications company or starting a nonprofit or going back to school to practice law or medicine?

But the thing is I’ll never know unless I just keep working. And it’s not for me to be paralyzed and try to figure out. All I need to do is operate in faith and be obedient. I don’t need to know every step or what the outcome will be and neither do you. All we need to do is apply the Law of Least Effort and simply be.

Forgive me if I’m being redundant but most of what I write is more for me than it is for y’all lol. I need constant reminders of grace and favor and mercy and I figured some other people may need it too hence why I started I blogging again.

As always, take what you need and leave the rest.
